An engagement party is a great way to get everyone together to celebrate. Here are some suggestions to help you when planning an engagement party.

A guest list should be your top priority. It’s a good idea to only invite your closest friends and family since most engagement parties are small events. Ask yourself who you are really excited about telling and have those people be the ones you invite. Try to keep distance in mind when choosing people since you don’t want anyone to have to make a long trip for a simple get together.

Where you have your party is the next step. You should have multiple engagement party plans in case something falls through. If you and your betrothed have a favorite place to eat, make reservations to have the party there but have a backup plan in case of complications. A party in your home will require more work setting up than going out but could be more relaxing for you and your guests. Really, it is your decision how you want to spend the evening.

The engagement party is when you will tell your loved ones about your special moment, even going into the story of how you proposed.
